All faculty must have a photograph for their department’s directory. Staff are encouraged to have a photograph if their department or office’s directory uses portraits.
To post your professional portrait to your department’s website directory all you need to do is have your portrait taken by our photographers on campus. This is a free service. From there, our team will upload the portrait onto the site.

Appointments are available to be booked for two weeks at a time. We are located in the Allen Administration Building, Ground Floor Photo Studio.
If you do not work on the main campus or are unavailable during the open hours you may get your approved department web content contact to submit a professional-looking, cropped and correctly-sized image to Web Team. These images must follow the guidelines below. If it does not, the image may be deemed unacceptable to post. We do not use black and white or sephia toned images—full color only. We prefer if the image is taken by a professional photographer, but understand that not everyone has access to one.
Appropriate Portrait Criteria:
- Cropped as a portrait
- Plain background
- Plain foreground
- Taken recently
- Subject is dressed in appropriate work attire

Removing/Updating Your Professional Portrait on the Website
If you did have your professional portrait taken on campus and would like to replace the photo, you must get a new professional portrait taken and approved before we can take down your current one. We will not replace an official Brockport professional portrait with an alternative one. We will not remove any professional portraits on the website without an approved replacement.
