Mathematics Major’s Solution Featured in Mathematical Reflections

During the summer, Dr. Ruhan Zhao (SUNY Distinguished Professor of Mathematics) was invited to give talks and short lecture courses for researchers and graduate students in Greece and China, and presented his work at conferences in Greece and Romania. Under the supervision of Dr. Gabriel Prajitura, mathematics majors Blerta Gashi and Matthew Too published the featured solutions to two problems.
The most recent issue of Mathematical Reflections, an online magazine for students and others interested in mathematical discovery, names four Brockport students who solved some of the journal’s challenging problems.
