“Relics of the Here and Now” is an exhibition of Jennifer Hecker’s mixed-media sculptures and Juan Perdiguero’s ink drawings. The Opening Reception will be held on Saturday, February 26 from 3-6 pm at Main Street Arts in Clifton Springs, NY.

November 9BFA student Samantha Symonds, a senior in the Printmaking concentration, had three works accepted into the competitive Best of SUNY exhibition in Albany. Her work will be on display for one year at the Plaza Gallery.

October 1Jennifer Hecker will participate in the 67th Rochester-Finger Lakes Artist Talks! on Thursday, October 7, in conjunction with her sculptures on display in the exhibition.

September 2Suffocating, a mixed media sculpture by Vanessa Tierney ’21 was selected for the highest Award of Excellence for $1500 in this regional exhibition that includes the work of other SUNY Brockport faculty and alumni.

May 2“Resilience: The Annual Student Art Exhibition is up and running through May 11 in the Tower Fine Arts Gallery. The Department of Art congratulates the students that have received awards for this year’s annual exhibition.

April 8Earn prize money for your best photo of the natural world. In celebration of Earth Day, Brockport’s Sustainability committee and the Department of Art are sponsoring a nature photography contest celebrating the natural world. Entries can include a picture of a nature scene, such as an interesting tree or wildlife.

April 1The Department of Art will celebrate the accomplishments of two of their graduating BFA students in the Spring 2021 BFA Thesis Exhibition which will run from April 5 – 18, 2021.
