  BITS Microsoft Lunch & Learn Series

  BITS is partnering with Microsoft to offer a Lunch and Learn Training Program with training on one topic per week scheduled throughout the remainder of the spring semester.
• Downtime Scheduled for Campus Information System (Banner)

  Banner downtime is scheduled for Wednesday, February 9, 2022, from Midnight - 7 am due to system maintenance.
• Multi-Factor Authentication Required Everywhere Starting Feb. 2

  Starting on February 2, 2022, Multi-Factor Authentication will be required for all Brockport user accounts when logging in from any location as previously mentioned in the December BITS Newsletter.

• Single Sign-On (SSO) Migration to Microsoft Azure

  On Monday, January 10 between 7 – 8 am, the SSO for Admin Banner, Web Banner, Imaging, Degree Works, and SUNY Applications will be migrated to use the Microsoft Azure login.
• Are You Planning to Use Minitab to Teach in Spring 2022?

  Minitab licensing is changing and BITS will need to assign licenses to users individually for Minitab.
• Campus Internet Unavailable December 19

  BITS has been busy working to perform several critical upgrades to the campus networks to improve performance. Campus internet will be out on December 19, 2021, from 7 am - 3 pm.

  FileCity2 Retires Today
  November 1
  BITS is getting ready to retire the old FileCity2 servers on November 19, 2021. Please stay up to date with the necessary information related to this process.
• Qualtrics & TK20 Single Sign-on Migration
  September 15
  Brockport IT continues to update the campus’ single sign-on (SSO) security, implementing the change within the Qualtrics and TK20 systems this week. This is being done to increase security and provide a smoother user experience.
• Management of Campus ID Cards Transition to BITS

  Management of the campus ID card program is transitioning from BASC to BITS in partnership with the Conrad Welcome Center.

• Multi-Factor Authentication Rolling Out to All Remaining Brockport Accounts

  On Monday, May 24, 2021, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) registration will be turned on for all remaining Brockport accounts. Departmental generic account security will be addressed in a separate project later this year and will not get MFA at this time.

  Brockport IT is updating the campus single sign-on (SSO) over the next few months to make signing into your Brockport accounts easier and more secure.

  BITS would like to remind everyone that Teams will officially replace FileCity2 on March 1. On March 1 any shares that remain on FileCity 2 will be made read-only, with the exception of shares already approved by BITS.
• Blackboard Maintenance - System Not Available

  SUNY will be applying a system-wide Blackboard update that will take Blackboard down for several hours during our overnight process.
