Bio

I am a hometown guy who graduated from the RCSD. I went to nearby SUNY Buffalo to pursue my B.S. and Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry with a concentration in transition metal catalyzed small molecule organic synthesis. My professional interests reside in teaching, research, and outreach with students who are interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) career fields.

Education

B.S. Chemistry, SUNY Buffalo, 1997

Ph.D. Medicinal Chemistry, SUNY Buffalo, 2006

Areas of Specialty

I am knowledgeable in the design, synthesis, and purification of small organic compounds in a highly selective and sustainable manner.

Courses Taught

CHM 305 Organic Chemistry I

CHM 305 Organic Chemistry I Laboratory

Research Interests

I am interested in the sustainable synthesis of small organic compounds using mechanochemical, organometallic, and classic advanced synthetic methodologies.
