Policy Procedures
Allowable Credit Loads:
At the undergraduate level, students must carry a minimum of 12 credits to be classified as a full- time student. Whether a student is designated as part-time or full-time is important in the area of financial assistance involving various grants, loans, and scholarships that may depend on full- time status. As mentioned under “Academic Class,” 15 credits per semester is considered a normal course load, although students may register for up to 18 without special permission. Beyond 18, the Office of Registration and Records manually applies the guidelines listed below to determine whether or not a student is eligible.
