Research Interests

My research interests are within feminist medical anthropology with a specific focus on reproductive health and birth. I am interested in how race, gender, and class influence reproductive and maternal health experiences. For my doctoral research, I am focusing on the use of community-based doulas in Syracuse, New York, who specifically work with Black folks, other folks of color, and marginalized peoples.
