Bio

Carson Young is an assistant professor in the Department of Business Administration at SUNY Brockport. He teaches classes in business ethics, sustainability, and management. He received his Ph.D from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in 2019.

Young’s work explores philosophical questions related to business ethics, such as: What are the moral constrains on how business firms may pursue profit? In whose interest should business firms be managed? How do features of legal, political, and economic institutions affect the moral responsibilities of business? How should we understand what it means to be an ethical consumer?

Young’s work has been published in scholarly venues including Business Ethics Quarterly, the Journal of Business Ethics, and Business Ethics Journal Review.
