Bio
Lisa Kane grew up in Avon, a small town south of Rochester, NY. She went to Genesee Community College and graduated with a Physical Therapy Assistant degree. She specialized in Orthopedic and Neurological Rehabilitation with Unity Hospital and affiliated facilities. In 2007, she went back to receive her BSN from St. John Fisher College. As a nurse, she specialized in Neurological patients working at Strong Memorial Hospital. She has obtained her Certified Neuroscience Nurse and Certified Stroke Nurse certifications.
She also worked as an adjunct at St. John Fisher College teaching clinicals, simulation lab, and foundation lab. In 2015, She graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College with her Masters in Nursing Education degree. Teaching and providing students with support and new ways to learn is something she enjoys very much. In 2017, Lisa joined the faculty at SUNY Brockport, State University of New York.
