Bio

Dr. Carnel Jackson has joined the school of nursing as an Assistant Professor for the graduate and doctoral programs. Dr. Jackson is a Rochester native, who graduated from East Rochester High School. He completed his bachelor’s degree at Nazareth College, master’s degree at D’ Youville College and finished his doctorate degree at the University at Buffalo. He has practiced as a nurse practitioner for since 2017; gaining experience in internal medicine, family medicine, hematology-oncology and inpatient psychiatry. He opened his own practice (Jackson’s Health) in Brighton, NY, in 2022.

 

He is happy to join the SUNY Brockport team and encourage the next generation of nurse practitioners to practice at the top of the career.
