Bio

Professor Angela Fox joined SUNY Brockport Nursing in 2018 as full-time faculty. Angela started her healthcare journey as a certified nurse assistant in 2007. Angela completed her AAS (GCC’09), BSN (Roberts Wesleyan ’13), and MSN (Roberts Wesleyan ’17) with a focus on Nursing Education. Before her career in higher education, Angela worked as a registered nurse in various specialties, including medical/surgical, obstetrical nursing, and as a professional school nurse. She discovered her passion for education while working in a school setting. Angela began teaching Practical Nursing students in the classroom, lab, and clinical setting and found a love for mentoring and training new nurses.

Angela believes that delivering nursing care to a person is an honor and that teaching future nurses of tomorrow is a blessing. She is excited to apply this principle to her teaching role to help shape the next generation of Brockport nurses to be successful in any healthcare environment. She enjoys working with the beginning students; strengthening their weaknesses, mentoring, and cheering them on when they encounter successes.

Angela is married to her husband Travis, and they have three children, Conner, Ethan, and Hannah. They live in Brockport, NY.
