Bio
Dr. Bingham began her health care career during her senior year at Irondequoit High School when she completed her Emergency Medical Technician certification. She has served alongside both of her parents while caring for patients in the field. Her nursing career began shortly thereafter when she graduated from Isabella Graham Hart School of Practical Nursing in 1995.
After several years of practice in women’s health and hematology/oncology, she became a Paramedic and practiced in both urban and rural settings. She later returned to Monroe Community College for her RN in 2001 where her interest shifted to clinical research. She clinically coordinated studies which created the opportunity for several publications.
She completed her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2007 (Magna cum Laude) and Masters of Science, Family Nurse Practitioner in 2010, both at the University of Rochester. She proudly served as faculty for the University of Rochester in their accelerated nursing program until transitioning to SUNY Brockport in 2013 where she is privileged to direct the Second Degree Bachelor’s to BSN program. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2018 from the University at Buffalo. She is a nationally certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Educator, and currently practices clinically in primary and urgent care.
Dr. Bingham is married to a Brockport alumnus. Their eldest is a student at Brockport, and their twins are in high school. She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and baking, and having outdoor adventures with her family.
