Bio
Kelly A Cary, CMA, MHA, is the Program Coordinator and Lecturer in Healthcare Administration within the Department of Healthcare Studies. Kelly holds a bachelor’s degree in health science from SUNY Brockport and a master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Robert’s Wesleyan College in Rochester, NY. She is also a certified Medical Assistant and her background in medical assisting includes cardiology, OB/GYN, and urology. She taught several years as a medical assisting instructor where she prepared hundreds of students for careers in the healthcare field.
Professor Cary’s responsibilities include teaching several classes within the Healthcare Administration program, advising, mentoring and encouraging students to find their niche’ within the healthcare administration field and assist students in finding internship placements within the Rochester and surrounding areas, as well as outside of Western NY.
Professor Cary’s interests include spending time with family and friends, traveling, and volunteering. She is very invested in student learning and incorporating fun and active learning methods for all of her students.
