Dr. Reiner has been in the Department of Counselor Education since 2007. She previously worked as a school counselor in Rochester, NY and in Prince George’s County Maryland. She became Chair of the Department of Counselor Education in 2020, and is serving a three-year term in that role. She is enthusiastically involved in several counseling associations. Dr. Reiner is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES), North Atlantic Region Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (NARACES), and the American Counseling Association of New York (ACA-NY). She has served as President of AADA, ACES, NARACES and ACA-NY. She is the Past Chair of the American Counseling Association’s North Atlantic Region. She was the 2016-2022 ACA Governing Council Representative for the North Atlantic Region.
