John K. Marah, EdD, professor (and chairperson from 1995 to 2012 and 2017-18) is a native of the Republic of Sierra Leone, West Africa.

He has appeared on television and radio discussing a variety of issues on Africa and African people. From 2006 to the present, he has lectured nationally and internationally.

Dr. Marah is currently working on a book, The African Union Needs a Pan-African Educational System: Essays on Pan-African Education and Pan-Africanism.
