Dr. Janka Szilagyi, Associate Professor of Education and Human Development, has co-authored an article with Tunde Szecsi, a colleague at Florida Gulf Coast University.
The findings indicated teachers’ limited use of language assessment results for guiding instruction and some teachers’ deficit views of English learners. The article calls attention to further professional development in language assessment literacy and to a more systematic deconstruction of negative views of English learners.
