Title: Update to Campus Single Sign-On
Date: May 10, 2021
Summary: Brockport IT is updating the campus single sign-on (SSO) over the next few months to make signing into your Brockport accounts easier and more secure.
Body:
What is single sign-on?
Single sign-on (SSO) is a login method that enables users to securely log in with multiple applications and websites by using just one set of credentials.
What is Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)?
MFA is the process where you authenticate that you are in fact the person logging into your account which requires the following options: Cell phone, Authentication App, or a Yubico Key
What does this mean for you?
- When logging in at the new single sign-on page you will need to enter your full Brockport email (NetID@brockport.edu) instead of just your NetID when logging in.
- The log-in page for Brockport applications will look different.
- MFA is now required when accessing Brockport Applications and websites that use the new single sign-on page.
- As more applications are added to the new system, you will be asked to log in less frequently.
The Brockport sign-in page for many applications has looked like a green box on a white background.
