Join Us in Celebrating Sandy Mullin’s Retirement

Sandy Mullin, Administrative Assistant to the Dean in the School of Education, Health, and Human Services is retiring after 33 years at SUNY Brockport.

During her time here at the college, Sandy served six Deans in three Schools (The School of Professions, The School of Education and Human Services, and the School of Education, Health, and Human Services), and scores of faculty and staff. Sandy began her journey at Brockport in 1988 as a Keyboard Specialist in the Department of Education and Human Development. She then spent two years in the Admissions Office and returned to the Department of Education and Human Development as Secretary 1. She then moved into the Dean’s Office as Administrative Assistant 2 in 1998, a post she has held since that day. She has done this work with grace, kindness, warmth, and exceptional skill and professionalism. For many administrative professionals across the campus, Sandy is a mentor and professional resource without comparison.

Sandy Mullin has served as COSAC President, was the winner of the Adele Catlin Memorial Award in 2009. She was also recognized with the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Service in 2012.

While we are sad to see Sandy leave us, we are filled with happiness for her as she enters retirement to spend time with her family and her many friends. We are happy to know that Sandy will be taking a little bit of Brockport with her on her travels.  In this time of social distancing, if you know Sandy, please reach out to her, as we know she will be delighted to hear from all of you.
