Call for Grad Walk Volunteers

Volunteers are needed to help our graduating students celebrate their accomplishments. Please consider volunteering during the series of “Grad Walks” taking place May 17-19.

Please consider volunteering to help the Class of 2021 celebrate its accomplishments during the series of “Grad Walks” taking place May 17-19. These modified Commencement ceremonies will give each graduate – at both the undergraduate and graduate level – an opportunity to have their name read, walk the stage, and have their photo taken. In order to comply with state guidelines, volunteers will be required to provide one of the following to participate:

  1. Proof of having completed the COVID-19 vaccination series at least 14 days prior to the date of the event. Per agreements with our respective labor unions, only visual proof of vaccination is required – no records will be kept.
  2. Proof of a prior positive COVID-19 test result or completed order of isolation, dated within the last 90 days prior to the date of the event.
  3. A negative COVID-19 antigen test result from a test taken within six hours of the event. Free antigen testing will be available beginning 90 minutes before each ceremony.

Each volunteer shift will last approximately three hours. Please plan on being available 90 minutes prior to the start of each ceremony. We anticipate the shift ending approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of each ceremony.

Volunteer registration is now live.
