Title: Student Teaching Candidates Participate in End-of-Semester Mock Interviews

Summary: The tradition of an end-of-semester mock interview professional development event for teacher candidates continued despite all the challenges and changes presented in Spring 2021.

Heartfelt thanks go to Lisa Montanaro, Instructional Coach emeritus at Brockport Central School District (BCSD) and Coordinator of TESOL Placements at SUNY Brockport and Christopher Albrecht, Fourth Grade teacher at Hill Elementary School at BCSD and the 2018 New York State Teacher of the Year. These two experienced educators posed as the interviewers and provided a balanced and rich experience to Dr. Jie Zhang’s student teaching candidates in the Childhood Inclusive Program on April 12, 2021, via Zoom.
This event provided the student teaching candidates an exceptional opportunity to practice their interview skills, receive constructive feedback and insightful suggestions, gain confidence, and build on interviewing experience for professional positions. It also helped strengthen the partnership between the College and BCSD.
