Summary: Dan Beers, a graduate student in the Department of Environmental Science and Ecology, has been selected to receive a Student Grants-to-support Research award from the Great Lakes Research Consortium.

Dan Beer’s research project is entitled “The impact of land use activities, management, and high intensity storm events on aquatic macroinvertebrate communities in tributary sub-watersheds of Conesus Lake”. The $1000 grant will be used to support travel and purchase of consumables required to complete the work. Dan is a graduate student in the SUNY-Brockport Limnology Laboratory and is advised by Michael Chislock.
