The show will feature photographs made by Ann Marie Hummel, and sculpture from Vanessa Rodgers. The Tower Fine Arts Center Gallery is located at 180 Holley Street, Brockport, and the exhibit is free. Social distancing will be strictly enforced, as will other pandemic protocols. The Gallery has also adjusted its hours, which will now be Monday – Friday: 12 – 5 pm, and Sunday: 1 – 4 pm. PLEASE NOTE: During the Spring 2021 semester, the Gallery will only be open to students, faculty, and staff. Unfortunately, we will not be able to be open to the general public.

Hummel’s photography thesis is called “Perpetual Ephemera.” The theme of her work has “evolved over the years from an observation of nature to a confrontation of plastic in the environment. My work deals with the single use and discard culture that is impacting nearly every surface of our planet.” “Discovering Identity” is the title of Rodgers’ thesis. Her current work “revolves around hair. Through personal experience and research, I have found that hair can be used as a visual language. Through a combination of sculptures and paintings, I seek to explore hair’s versatility as a medium.”
