Summary: SUNY recently approved a new BS degree in Neuroscience for SUNY Brockport. This program serves a growing interdisciplinary field that draws upon the knowledge-base from biology, chemistry and biochemistry, and psychology.

Students in the program will learn how to effectively communicate and work with experts across all three fields as well as how to apply their varied approaches to problem-solving. Students can select from many upper-division courses to deepen their knowledge in what interests them the most about neuroscience and will have ample opportunity of hands-on instruction through lab and field courses. Neuroscientists find employment in medicine, technology, and psychology in settings that include hospitals, research institutions, and companies.
