Tricia Snyder (Coordinator of Field Education for Social Work) was selected to join Critical Race Scholars in Social Work which held its inaugural work day in November with a focus on “Growing a Social Work Movement: Critical Race Praxis: Pedagogy, Writing, Research, and Practice.”
The group is comprised of global social work scholars focused on Critical Race Theory and interested in teaching, learning, and advocacy in a social justice effort to increase equity and empathy. At a critical time in our nation, this work is crucial. Scholars were selected from a large applicant pool. This work will be ongoing with collaborative research, publications, and professional paper and poster presentations.
