Title: Two Public Health Faculty Will Train with the CDC’s Digital Institute for Higher Education

The Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Digital Institute for Higher Education Academy with funding support by the CDC, Division of Population Health, Healthy Schools Branch.

The goal of the Digital Institute for Higher Education Academy is to enhance participants’ understanding of and provide training on essential tools and resources that reflect a high-quality curriculum for the preparation of health and physical educators in K-12 schools. After attending the Academy, Dipzinski and Rhodes will be able to describe the characteristics of high-quality health education curricula for pre-service teachers, integrate key CDC tools and resources within their health education curricula for pre-service teachers, and develop an action plan to strengthen their health education teacher preparation programs.
