Summary: SUNY Brockport is committed to providing a Smoke-Free Environment for the campus community. It is the collective responsibility of all community members (faculty, staff, students, and visitors), to support efforts to be compliant.
Body:

The policy regarding smoking became effective on August 1, 2011, and states that smoking is prohibited on all College managed property both indoors and outdoors unless officially designated otherwise. The policy was put into place with the intention of improving the overall health and wellness of our campus environment by reducing exposure to secondhand smoke.

Please note: Smoking is permitted in designated areas only. The only designated areas for smoking at the College are Lots A and D1.

Smoking Cessation Assistance

If you are interested in learning more about tobacco cessation call the New York State Smokers’ Quit Line at 1-866-NY-QUITS (1-866-697-8487) or visit the website below.
Students may contact the Student Health Center for an appointment for a smoking cessation consultation at (585) 395-2414.
