Title: Campus Shutdown/Holiday Closing
The following is information relating to the campus shutdown:
Per our customary practice, we are curtailing services and operations and closing all college buildings except those supporting environmentally controlled research, absolutely essential services, or operations necessary for health, safety, or security during the period starting December 26, 2021, through January 2 at 7 am. Employees are encouraged to take time off and will need to charge their absence to accumulated leave accruals, as appropriate. If employees do not have leave accruals available to use or have a need to work during this time, they should contact their supervisor to discuss their plans and to identify a possible alternate work location, as needed.
Group Events/Special Operational Requirements
If your department or office has scheduled a group event or has special operating needs during the shutdown period, please notify your vice president who will coordinate this with the Office of Facilities and Planning.
There will be limited campus mail pickup and delivery. Mail Services will communicate a schedule to the campus prior to shutdown.
Your voice mail greeting should be changed to reflect the shutdown during this period. If you will be working at an alternative work location, your greeting should include the number where you can be reached and the hours you will be working. Remember also to update your voice mail greeting when you return to work following the campus closing or the end of the intersession.
Please unsubscribe from high traffic list servers when you will not be accessing email over the break. Email builds up quickly and can adversely impact storage capacity and functionality.
