Title: Mental Health & Emotional Well-being of Students of Color

Date: November 23, 2021
Summary: We know that faculty and staff play critical roles in supporting our students and we want to hear about your experiences, challenges, and opportunities to advance this effort.
Body:

We invite you to be a part of a confidential session where we will discuss the role of campus climate and resources in supporting mental health.

This spring, SUNY Brockport and the Counseling Center have partnered with The Steve Fund as part of the Equity in Mental Health on Campus initiative. This is a campus-wide commitment to work towards understanding the needs and supporting the mental health and emotional well-being of students of color. We know that faculty and staff play a critical role in supporting our students and we want to hear about your experiences, challenges, and opportunities to advance this effort!

We invite you to be a part of a confidential session on December 2, 1 - 2:30 pm. During the session,  we will discuss the role of campus climate and resources in supporting mental health. Our goal is to recruit 8-12 faculty who represent a diverse group of identities and academic disciplines for a 60-90 minute session this month. Registration for the session will be open until we reach capacity. If you’re interested in participating, please register online and we’ll be in touch. Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have.
