Alexis Dzus presented preliminary findings from her honors thesis research at the PA Sociological Society virtual conference. Her thesis, entitled “Difficulties in Diagnosing Autism Spectrum Disorder as Experienced by Parents and Families,” uses online surveys with parents of children with autism to understand the social process of diagnosis. Her data collection is ongoing.
