Title: Environmental Science & Ecology Professors Received $90,989 in Funding
Dr. Altenritter and Dr. Rinchard, Department of Environmental Science & Ecology, were awarded $90,989 from BuroHappold Engineering to complete an additional Creel Survey. It is an extension of a previous Creel Survey completed earlier this year.
Dr. Matthew Altenritter and his co-PI Dr. Jacques Rinchad, in conjunction with a Research Assistant and several SUNY Brockport student researchers, will be completing a Creel Survey for BuroHappold Engineering as part of the NYS Reimagine the Canals Fishery Pilot Project. The Creel Survey seeks to characterize angler effort and success during planned supplemental high flow events in Eighteen Mile Creek, Oak Orchard Creek, and Sandy Creek to determine the impact on the angling experience as part of the initiative to improve and enhance fisheries in Lake Ontario tributaries.
The award will be administered by The Research Foundation for SUNY at SUNY Brockport.
