Dr. Afeez Hazzan (Assistant Professor in the Department of Healthcare Studies), Dr. Kristin Heffernan (Professor in the Department of Social Work), and Dr. Jason Dauenhauer (Professor in the Department of Social Work) published a manuscript titled “Promoting Intergenerational Engagement Within the College Classroom: Faculty Training Needs.”
The study examined the perspectives of faculty members who have opened their classrooms to older adult auditors regarding the type of training that faculty need to promote intergenerational engagement in the classroom. Moreover, the study was presented to an international audience at the 7th International Conference on Higher Education (HEAd’21) this summer.
