Dr. Jackie Rhoades, Adjunct Lecturer in Sociology, presented her paper, entitled, “Challenges of Teaching Incarcerated Students Online,” at the Association for the Sociology of Religion annual meeting, held virtually on August 9, 2021. The paper was part of a panel on “Religion and Challenging Oppression(s)”, which she also moderated.
Dr. Rhoades also recently became the Area Editor for the Sociology of Religion section of the American Sociological Association’s peer-reviewed teaching resource guide (ASA TRAILS). Her initial term as area editor is for three years and, in addition to sociology of religion, includes rotating editing responsibilities for teaching materials related to introduction to sociology.
