Week 19: November 4, 2022

The campus climate survey was sent to everyone, via email, on Tuesday. If you have not had a chance to complete it yet, please do so before it closes later this month.

We are excited to announce that Stevie Rudak has joined our College Communications team as a communication specialist and will begin next Thursday, Nov. 10. She will be located in the first floor offices. Stevie was working previously as a graduate assistant in the School of Business & Management and is a 2021 SUNY Brockport graduate – another BAWAFAS! – and is finishing her MBA this year.

I was able to join Cabinet virtually this week and we continued to discuss budget and enrollment. For those who joined the JPBC meeting yesterday, you heard that we have set targets of 1,250 first-year students, 600 transfers, a five percent increase (total) in undergraduate retention over the next four years, and a 12 percent increase in graduate enrollment growth. We know these are aggressive targets, but we feel they are attainable.

The first batch of free green polos was distributed this week, thanks to the Care & Celebration committee. We will be placing another order for those who were unable to get theirs before their size ran out or because they could not get to SERC this week. Look for more information in the coming weeks.

I’m out of the office most of next week: SUNY meeting in Syracuse on Monday, and California for alumni and donor events in Los Angeles (9th and 10th) and San Diego (11th). I’ll be back on campus around noon on Monday the 14th.
