Welcome

Greetings residential students,

Welcome to your new home at SUNY Brockport! We are excited to welcome you as members of our on-campus community and look forward to your involvement in the various engagement opportunities.

There are many benefits to living on campus, ranging from our developmentally appropriate curricular approach to residential education, residence hall association, the Living Learning Communities program, the close proximity to classes, and access to additional resources. We encourage you to take advantage of the various community building activities, educational programs, guest speakers, and opportunities to connect with faculty, staff, and alumni. During your experience living with peers, you will grow as a person and learn about others. Growth and learning is a continual process; it doesn’t come without the occasional bump or hiccup. Appreciate and embrace change, and be sure to let us know how you’re doing. We are here to help!

Our Resident Directors and Resident Assistants live in each residence hall and are committed to your development and success. You can contact them directly or email our department at housing@brockport.eduto reach out if you have any questions, need support, or have feedback to share. Please let us know if there’s anything further that we can do to help you have a positive experience living on campus.

Our office invests in your success as a student, through the many support systems and programmatic efforts that are offered. Take advantage of all that the University and our office has to offer. Thank you for joining us on campus! If you would like to learn more about us, feel free to visit our website.

Sincerely,

Donald Bigelow
