K. Violations of the On-Campus Housing License

The Student Conduct process is designed to enforce University policies while maintaining an independent living and learning environment. Living in on-campus housing requires standards of conduct, cooperation and respect for students and staff. All violations of the On-Campus Housing License will be resolved through the Student Conduct process. Residential Life/Learning Communities rules and regulations are provided on the Residential Life/Learning Communities webpage. All University rules and regulations are provided on the Student Policies webpage, more specifically the Code of Student Conduct. Any violation of University Policy, Residential Life/Learning Communities Policy or Policies established in this document may result in relocation within or removal from the on-campus housing facility.

L. Gender Inclusive Housing Information

Gender inclusive housing seeks to provide an environment that is welcoming to all gender identities and is not limited to the traditional gender binary (male and female). The University recognizes that same-sex room assignments are not ideal or appropriate for all students. Students who sign up for these areas will be permitted to have roommates and suite mates regardless of gender identity and/or expression. We are able to offer a limited number of gender inclusive housing options in most of the communities. Frequently asked questions about gender inclusive housing. Also, please feel free to contact Carl R. O’Connor to learn more about designated gender inclusive housing options at croconno@brockport.edu.

M. Infectious Disease, Social Distancing and Face Covering Policy

  • If students feel sick, or suspect that they are sick with COVID-19, they need to call Hazen Health Center as soon as possible. They will be screened for Covid-19, and tested, if determined necessary by Hazen Health Center. The Hazen Center for Integrated Care will determine if a student is required to isolate and/or quarantine on campus.
    • Failure to follow the directive of University officials, including requirements to remain in quarantine or isolation (on or off campus) will result in a referral to the Office of Student Conduct. Sanctions for violating quarantine and isolation directives may include removal from housing and/or conduct suspension
