As subject matter experts and course developers, faculty:
- Implements Accommodation Letters as written, consults with SAS as needed
- Refers new students to SAS for possible services/SAS affiliation*
- Reviews existing materials for accessibility, consults with ASIS as needed*
- Designs and creates materials using accessibility guidelines*
- Before selecting commercially available materials, ensures the purchase meets accessibility requirements*
- Provides alternative text descriptions for images, tables, etc.*
- Selects captioned media whenever possible*
- Creates a transcript and adds captions to accompany any newly created media*
- Ensures accessibility of physical spaces (3 ft. pathways, microphones in large spaces, sans serif font, etc.)*
- Prepares alternative materials for inaccessible content*

ASIS supports digital pedagogy and learning with technology. ASIS:
- Consults with faculty on the selection and creation of accessible instructional materials for online instruction
- Provides instruction for the creation of alternative text, captioning, and the utilization of accessibility guidelines
- Assists with accessibility of course materials for online materials
- Offers course reviews of online courses as requested, and provides faculty with direction for revisions as necessary
- Develops resource material on accessibility and Universal Design for Learning
- Provides instruction and individual consultations for teaching in an online environment with accessibility in mind
- Consults on the acquisition of potential new technology products for accessibility
Central resource for students with disabilities regarding accommodations. SAS:
- Coordinates the provision of accommodations according to legally mandated procedures
- Implements policies and procedures for accommodations in the college environment
- Facilitates the provision of accommodation letters to faculty
- Provides additional supports and services to eligible student as needed
- Promotes campus awareness of SAS, its services, and student eligibility*
- Recommends the implementation of Universal Design for Learning practices
- Collaborates with campus partners to determine accessibility*
- Consults with professors to remediate access issues within the classroom environment
- Assists faculty and staff with removing barriers when implementing accommodations
- Advocates for the needs of registered SAS students within the campus community*
- Refers campus stakeholders to resources to ensure accessibility, access, and inclusion*
SAS does not: Provide content tutoring, employ personal aides, purchase personal devices

Central resource for staff and faculty regarding access and accommodations. HR:
- Coordinates the provision of employment-related accommodations according to legally mandated procedures
- Implements policies and procedures for employment-related accommodations
- Promotes human resources programs and practices that enhance the College’s ability to attract, develop, and retain an exceptional faculty and staff
Monitors and assures accessibility of physical spaces for SUNY Brockport, as such they:
- Proactively plans for accessibility and inclusion with new designs and construction
- Adjusts current structures and spaces to ensure access to the physical environment*
- Regularly reviews and monitors campus accessibility*

Monitors and assures accessibility of physical spaces for SUNY Brockport, as such they:
- Responds to Service Request Tickets to remediate accessibility needs across the campus:
- fulfills furniture request tickets
- moves classroom furniture upon request
- removes ice/snow for access
- repairs grounds/structures for travel/access
A committee of campus-stakeholders committed to the inclusion of all individuals on the college campus. CoA:
- Promotes and advocates for accessibility for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors*
- Increases awareness related to the needs of individuals with disabilities on campus*
- Advances coursework and opportunities for students in Disability Studies
- Makes referrals to on-campus and off-campus resources related to accessibility*
