Health Science: Will accept BIO 134 and BIO 135 or BIO 142 and BIO 143. However, if a student arrives from MCC with only BIO 142 or BIO 143, the student will need to take BIO 321 and BIO 322 at Brockport or return to MCC to complete the sequence.

Medical Technology: Will NOT accept BIO 134 and BIO 135. Will accept BIO 142 and BIO 143 for Brockport’s BIO 321 and 322. If a student arrives from MCC with only BIO 142 or BIO 143, the Nursing department will recommend that s/he take the companion course at MCC, or take BIO 321 and 322 at Brockport.

Nursing: Will NOT accept BIO 134 and BIO 135. Will accept BIO 142 and BIO 143 for Brockport’s BIO 321 and 322. If a student arrives from MCC with only BIO 142 or BIO 143, the Nursing department will recommend that s/he take the companion course at MCC, or take BIO 321 and 322 at Brockport.

Physical Education: Will accept BIO 134 and BIO 135 as meeting the prerequisite for Brockport’s BIO 221.Will NOT accept only one of the BIO 142 and 143 combination at MCC, but will accept BIO 142 and 143 as the prerequisite to PE Teacher Certification. A student who comes to Brockport with only one or the other will need to take BIO 221 or 321 and 322 at Brockport or complete the companion course at MCC.

Recreation and Leisure: Will accept BIO 134 and/or BIO 135 or BIO 142 and BIO 143. If a student arrives from MCC with only BIO 142 or BIO 143, the department will recommend that s/he take the companion course at MCC, or take BIO 221 or BIO 321 at Brockport.

Social Work: Preferable course at MCC is BIO 133, The Human Machine, for the SWO prerequisite.Will accept BIO 134 and 135, or BIO 142 and 143. If students have only one of the courses in these two-course sequences, they will be required to take BIO 281, Elements of Human Biology, at Brockport or take the companion course at MCC.

A student who comes to Brockport with only one or the other will need to take BIO 221 or BIO 321 & BIO 322 at Brockport or complete the companion course at MCC.
