Steps to Apply

Step 1: Apply using the SUNY App or Common App

Complete your application online and pay the $50 application fee, or use the SUNY Fee Waiver Form.

Step 2: Submit Official Transcripts

Submit official, sealed transcripts from every college/university attended.

This is necessary regardless of the number of credits earned, even if the information appears on another institution’s transcript. Failure to report all previously attended colleges on the application will cause a delay in the application process. Please send official transcripts to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

Step 3: Determine if the program you’re applying for has any additional requirements

Additional requirements based on major can be found here. Students with more than 54 transferrable college credits will be asked to indicate their major on their application.

Teacher certification is available at Brockport and must be coupled with a declared major in an approved content area. Please visit the Department of Education and Human Development’s website for a complete list of appropriate academic majors for education certification.

Step 4: Submit your official high school transcript (if you have less than 24 transferrable college credits)

Have your school counselor forward your official high school transcripts to our office:
