School-Based Teacher Educators

School-based Teacher Educators (SBTE) teachers in local school districts who mentor the University’s teacher candidates for field experience or student teaching placements. Please review the curriculum for our Adolescence Inclusive Generalist or our Childhood Inclusive students for expectations based on their prior experience if you are an SBTE.

Field Experience/ Student Teaching Information

Teacher candidates must complete three, 50 hour field experiences and a student teaching experience with an SBTE. Our student teaching and field experience webpages provide useful information and resources for both students and SBTEs.
