Stan Sanvel Rubin and Bill Heyen

Poets
Stan Sanvel Rubin directed the Brockport Writers Forum for many years; later, he was founding director of the Rainier Writing Workshop low-residency MFA at Pacific Lutheran University. He has published poems in The Georgia Review, The Iowa Review, Virginia Quarterly Review, Carolina Quarterly, and many others, and authored four poetry collections: There.Here., Hidden Sequel, Five Colors, and Midnight, as well as two chapbooks.
William Heyen, a former Senior Fulbright Lecturer in American literature in Germany, has won awards from the NEA, Guggenheim Foundation, American Academy of Arts and Letters, and others. His newest book is The Candle: Poems of our 20th Century Holocausts. He edited September 11, 2001: American Writers Respond. His work has appeared in hundreds of magazines and anthologies. His Crazy Horse in Stillness won the Small Press Book Award, and Shoah Train was a National Book Award finalist. He is Professor of English/Poet in Residence Emeritus at SUNY Brockport.
Mary Gaitskill

Mary Gaitskill is the author of the novels The Mare; Two Girls, Fat and Thin; and Veronica, nominated for the National Book Award, National Critic’ s Circle Award, and LA Times Book Award. She is also the author of four story collections. Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, Harper’ s, Esquire, Best American Short Stories, and The O. Henry Prize Stories. She has been awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship for fiction and a Cullman Research Fellowship at the New York Public Library.
Rigoberto González

Poet and Nonfiction Writer
Rigoberto González is the author of 17 books of prose and poetry. The recipient of Guggenheim, NEA, and USA Rolón fellowships, an NYFA grant in poetry, the Shelley Memorial Award from the Poetry Society of America, the Poetry Center Book Award, and the Barnes & Noble Writer for Writers Award, he is a contributing editor for Poets & Writers Magazine and writes a monthly column for NBC-Latino online. He is Professor of English at Rutgers-Newark, the State University of New Jersey.
Noelle Q. de Jesus

Noelle Q. de Jesus was born in the US, grew up in Manila, and has lived in Singapore for much of her adult life. She is the author of Blood: Collected Stories and the novel Mrs. MisMarriage. She also conceptualized the anthology series Fast Food Fiction: Short Short Stories To Go and edited a Singapore edition in 2016. She has an MFA from Bowling Green State University in Ohio and a BA in interdisciplinary studies, concentrating in English literature, from Ateneo de Manila University.

Dani Shapiro

Dani Shapiro is the bestselling author of the memoirs Still Writing, Devotion, and Slow Motion and five novels including Black & White and Family History. Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, Elle, The New York Times Book Review, and the op-ed pages of The New York Times and The Los Angeles Times, and has been broadcast on This American Life. Dani was recently Oprah Winfrey’ s guest on “Super Soul Sunday.” She has taught at Columbia and NYU, is cofounder of the Sirenland Writers Conference in Positano, Italy, and is a contributing editor at Condé Nast Traveler. Her next book, Hourglass, will be published in spring 2017.
