Tony Leuzzi has written four books of poetry, including Radiant Losses and The Burning Door. In 2012, BOA Editions published Passwords Primeval, Leuzzi’s interviews with 20 American poets. He received the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Creativity and Scholarship in spring 2014.

Featured event for Black History Month
A graduate of Harvard University and the Iowa Writer’s Workshop, Jacinda Townsend is the author of the novel Saint Monkey. She has published short fiction in magazines such as The Maryland Review, Passages North, African Voices, Women’s Art Quarterly, and Carve Magazine. She teaches creative writing at Indiana University-Bloomington.

Brian Turner writes about his experiences serving in the Iraq War in his recent memoir, My Life as a Foreign Country. He is the author of two poetry collections, Phantom Noise and Here, Bullet. Turner’s work has been published in National Geographic, The New York Times, Poetry Daily, and Harper’s Magazine. He has been awarded a United States Artists Fellowship, an NEA Fellowship, and a Lannan Foundation Fellowship. He directs the low-residency MFA program at Sierra Nevada College.
Suzanne Parker

Suzanne Parker is the winner of the Alice James/Kinereth Gensler Book Award. Her poetry collection, Viral, was a finalist for the 26th Annual Lambda Literary Award. Parker’s poetry has appeared in Drunken Boat, Cimarron Review, Hunger Mountain, and Barrow Street. She directs the creative writing program at Brookdale Community College in New Jersey and edits MEAD: The Magazine of Literature and Libations.

2015 Art of Fact Award for Excellence in Literary Nonfiction
Calvin Trillin has been a longtime columnist for The New Yorker and The Nation. He has published over 20 books, including American Fried: Adventures of a Happy Eater, Messages from My Father, Family Man, The Tummy Trilogy, and About Alice. In 2012, Trillin was awarded the Thurber Prize for American Humor. In 2013, he was inducted into the New York Writers Hall of Fame. He lives in Greenwich Village in New York City.
