Ayun Halliday is the author of No Touch Monkey! And Other Travel Lessons Learned Too Late; The Big Rumpus; Dirty Sugar Cookies: Culinary Observations, Questionable Taste; and Job Hopper.

She also works as a columnist for BUST magazine, and edits her own zine, East Village Inky.

She lives in Greenwich Village with her husband and two children.


Steve Fellner

SUNY Brockport professor Steve Fellner has published a memoir, All Screwed Up (Benu Press), and two books of poetry, The Weary World Rejoices (Marsh Hawk Press) and Blind Date with Cavafy (Marsh Hawk Press).

Blind Date with Cavafy won the Thom Gunn Gay Male Poetry Award.

With his husband, Phil E. Young, Dr. Fellner is currently co-editing a poetry anthology Love Rise Up.


M.J. Iuppa

M.J. Iuppa is Writer-in-Residence at St. John Fisher College, and teaches creative writing and poetry at Writers & Books.

Her chapbooks include Sometimes Simply, (Foreseeable Future Press, 1996), Temptations, (Foothill Publishing, 2001) Greatest Hits 1986-2001 (Pudding House, 2002) and As the Crow Flies (Foothills, 2008).

Her works also include her poetry collection Night Traveler (Foothills Publishing, 2003) and Within Reach (Cherry Grove Collections, 2010).


Allison Joseph

Allison Joseph directs the MFA Program in Creative Writing at Southern Illinois University.

She serves as poetry editor of Crab Orchard Review and director of the Young Writers Workshop.

Her books include My Father’s Kites, What Keeps Us Here (winner of the Ampersand Press Women Poets Series Prize and the John C. Zacharis Prize), Soul Train (Carnegie Mellon), In Every Seam (Pittsburgh), Imitation of Life (Carnegie Mellon), Worldly Pleasures (winner of the Word Press Poetry Prize) and Voice: Poems (Mayapple Press).

She lives in Carbondale, Illinois.


Jo Ann Beard

Jo Ann Beard is the author of The Boys of My Youth, a collection of autobiographical essays, and the novel, In Zanesville.

Her work has appeared in Tin House, The New Yorker, and Best American Essays.

She has received awards and fellowships for nonfiction from the Whiting Foundation, the New York Foundation for the Arts, and the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation.


Augusten Burroughs

Augusten Burroughs is the bestselling author of Running with Scissors, Dry, Magical Thinking, Possible Side Effects, A Wolf at the Table, and You Better Not Cry: Stories for Christmas.

His writing has appeared in The New York Times, House and Garden, New York Magazine, and The Times.

In 2006 his memoir, Running with Scissors, was made into a film starring Annette Bening and Alec Baldwin.
