2023 RA Conference

You are personally invited to the 40th Annual Resident Assistant Conference that will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023. This year’s 2022 RA Conference is placed on hold due to facilities and personnel restrictions on our campus. We have been able to provide an engaging virtual RA conference in 2020 and 2021 and this year we hoped to be back in person, although with some facility and personnel limitations, we have decided to take a pause this year and will be back in person for the 2023 RA Conference.
The Office of Residential Life/Learning Communities at SUNY Brockport encourages you to take this exciting adventure with them with a fun filled day of learning and exploring.
RA Conference participants will be able to:
- Identify multiple levels of diversity, including the ongoing development of their identity, and ways to create an inclusive community.
- Describe ways to educate residents about healthy habits in relation to alcohol/substances, nutrition, stress, fitness, relationships, and conflict resolution.
- Create a network of student leaders and professionals
- Identify and apply strategies in the areas of customer service, community building, motivation, leadership, conflict management, ethics, boundaries, etc.
