Alumni Destinations
MICHELLE WHITTUM (’16, BIOCHEMISTRY, SUMMA CUM LAUDE)
Michelle Whittum received the Chancellor’s Award and the President’s citation, which is the University’s highest academic award. She is studying medicine at the Medical School of the University of Buffalo, SUNY.
MEGAN BULLARD (’19, CHEMISTRY, TEACHER CERTIFICATION, MAGNA CUM LAUDE)
Megan Bullard spent one summer performing research at the Argonne National Laboratory in Lemont, IL. Upon graduating from Brockport, she was hired by the Rochester Central School District.
REBECCA GERLING (’18, BIOCHEMISTRY, CUM LAUDE)
Rebecca Gerling was a transfer student to Brockport. After graduating, she began employment at Highland Hospital as a patient care technician.
PETER MCGARVEY (’15, CHEMISTRY, ACS CERTIFIED, SUMMA CUM LAUDE)
Peter McGarvey began his post-Brockport career as a Chemist with Xerox. He then pursued a Master’s Degree in Chemistry at the University of Oregon before returning to the Rochester area to work as an Assembly Process Engineer at ONSemiconductor.
JOSEPH RUSSO (’11, CHEMISTRY, ACS CERTIFIED)
Joseph Russo took full advantage of undergraduate research opportunities at the University, which resulted in his co-authorship of four peer-reviewed publications. He completed a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering at New Jersey Institute of Technology and moved to California to join Honest Company as a Product Development Manager.
