Applying for Certification

Once you have completed an Approved Teacher Preparation Program from the University, you are ready to earn your initial certification. Follow the appropriate steps to ensure that you are certified and ready to take the next step in your career.

Applying for Professional Certification

To apply for professional certification you must:

  • Currently hold an initial certification
  • Earn a master’s degree
  • Have three years of full-time teaching experience
  • Have a mentored experience
  • Complete DASA Training

Professional Education Unit

The Professional Education Unit (PEU) is an academic unit on campus devoted to the preparation of education professionals. PEU consists of all education professional preparation programs on campus across all disciplines.
