Further Recommendations

Transfer students should note that a minimum of 18 credits in psychology must be taken at Brockport.

Students should note that equivalent statistics courses taught in a department other than Psychology do not count toward credit requirements in the major and will require completion of one additional psychology elective course.

Students are advised to take the required psychology core courses (PSH 110, 202, 301) as early as possible, as these provide a foundation for the content courses in the major. Completion of the required core and content courses prior to the end of the student’s junior year will minimize the chance of being closed out of required courses in their senior year.
