The award honors and celebrates individuals who have demonstrated excellence through their efforts to create greater diversity, inclusivity and equitable opportunities within SUNY Brockport and the communities we serve.
LGBTQ Fellowship
At the direction of the Governor, the NYS LGBTQ Fellowship is established to support the ongoing efforts in the Office of the Chief Diversity Officer. The LGBTQ Fellow will be awarded every two years to an individual who has demonstrated a commitment to social justice, a track record of working on LGBTQ equality, civil rights and diversity issues, and a strong interest in a career in public service.
Opening Doors Retreat Scholarship
The Opening Doors Diversity Project will host a three-day retreat designed to facilitate positive change on diversity within individuals and organizations.
Promoting Excellence in Diversity Grant
This grant is to support proposals from faculty, staff and students for scholarly and artistic events that will have an impact on our mission, curriculum, faculty and staff development, students and the teaching and learning environment.
